Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired!

It’s only the beginning of February and you’ve already started to waver on your New Year’s Resolution to get healthier. Whether your resolution was to eat healthier, get to the gym more often, or a combination of both, you have either started to adhere less or given up completely. This scenario may not describe you, but it is a common occurrence; one study found that only 58.4% of New Year’s Resolutions make it past January 31st!

Why? Is it your diet? Stress? Lack of exercise? Something more serious? It may be because you are just ‘too tired’. A study completed by Yougov found that two-fifths of Americans are tired most of the week. That same study found that only about one in seven Americans wake up feeling refreshed every day of the week. It is difficult to stick to resolutions if you are struggling just to make it through the day without feeling like you need a nap.

Unfortunately, the reasons for your exhaustion are not always as simple as not sleeping the recommended 7-8 hours per night. In fact, the reasons are often hidden and symptoms of a more complex issue, usually beginning in the gut. At Vitopia, we want to help you get to the root cause of your health issues and start you on the pathway to healing. To do this, we recommend our Metabolic Assessment, a comprehensive questionnaire that looks at eight areas of your health to determine what is really causing your issues, such as exhaustion. Our team of healthcare professionals will review your results and provide you with personalized product and meal plan recommendations.
